Audience:  Doctors, Nurses, Dental assistants and anyone working in the

                   medical profession.

 

Course Description:  This course was designed by the American Heart

                                    Association to prepare a variety of healthcare providers

                                    to be able to recognize life-threatening emergencies and

                                    to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a

                                   safe and effective manner.

 

Course Objectives:  Students will acquire the Cognitive and Psychomotor

                                   skills in the following concepts:

• CPR for Adults
• CPR for Children (1 year of age to puberty)
•  Adult and Child Bag-Mask Technique and Rescue Breathing
• 2-Rescuer CPR for Adults and Children
• Automated External Defibrillator
• CPR for Infants
• Relief of Choking
